CHAPTER 7

Madison

Madison was exhausted after Saturday night with the guys.

They'd ended up staying and playing for hours. The second time, they'd taken turns worshiping her body like devotees to a goddess in various places around the room…up against a wall, in the bondage chair but without any of the cuffs on her, against the mirror. Afterwards, when she was too exhausted, she settled for lounging in the curved sex chair while directing them to screw each other on the bondage horse, then the Saint Andrew's Cross, and finally just on the side table itself because she was too tired to come up with anything more creative.

They'd had to practically carry her to her car, and they were all too happy to offer to drive her home. But she'd drawn the line there, insisting she was perfectly capable of driving herself back to the apartment.

Which she was. But mostly she didn't want Kate to see them and figure out what had happened.

Madison could barely process it mentally herself, much less figure out how to explain how it had happened.

So when Jamie had texted Sunday afternoon to see how she was and ask if they could see her again that night, she'd all too quickly replied that she was fine but way too tired to do anything or see anyone. All she wanted to do was stay curled up in her bed.

And mentally replay what had happened, until her shocked mind finally and firmly accepted the truth of it all. It hadn't been the best and longest wet dream ever. She really had spent hours screwing around with her boss and coworker—who was also her ex.

Oh God. This so wasn't the kind of girl she was. This was the kind of thing that happened to sex pot girls, like Kate. Cheerleaders. Strippers. Girls who walked and talked and oozed sex appeal and knew exactly what to do with not one but two expert lovers willing to do anything and everything they could dream up.

Madison didn't even watch porn, for heaven's sake.

Kate had mercifully been asleep by the time Madison had come home. Always a heavy sleeper, Kate had woken just enough to see who was invading their apartment, then smiled by way of a greeting, mumbled something Madison couldn't understand, and went back to sleep.

She was being nice and letting Madison sleep in today. But Madison knew the second she left her bedroom, even for food, she'd be attacked with a million questions. Questions she either wouldn't want or wouldn't be able to answer. So, she dealt with her empty stomach and stayed in bed like a coward until Kate went out in the afternoon to meet up with some guy for drinks and wings at a nearby bar. Madison had left her keys on the kitchen counter, so Kate simply knocked on Madison's closed bedroom door to tell her where she was going. Madison mumbled a response, then mercifully had the entire apartment to herself.

Two minutes after she was sure Kate was gone, she dove out of bed and hurried into the kitchen to dig for food.
